CIUK 2016 took place at Manchester Central on 14-15 December.

The conference, run jointly by the Science and Technology Facilities Council’s (STFC) Scientific Computing Department and the Hartree Centre, took place in a new venue at Manchester Central and attracted 39 exhibitors and over 170 delegates from over 84 organisations spanning trade vendors, industry and academic organisations.

A full programme of user presentations and an exhibitor forum ran alongside the two day exhibition allowing delegates the opportunity to hear about real life examples of projects using HPC, big data analytics and cognitive technologies as well as learning about the latest hardware and software releases from our exhibitors.

Popular YouTube presenter and science communicator Tom Scott provided an entertaining keynote presentation titled “How to be popular on the internet”.

Links to the presentations from CIUK 2016 can be found on the  event web site.
