The Computational Mathematics Group: who we are, and what we do
Who are the computational maths group? What do they do? Why does STFC need mathematicians anyway? If these are questions that have been burning inside of you, then don't miss this talk!
I'll describe the kinds of problems we're interested in, and will give an overview of some of the projects we're currently working on. The talk will be accessible to everyone of all mathematical backgrounds, so don't worry if you last saw an equation at GCSE – you won't get lost.
I'll talk for about 40 minutes, and then I'll invite questions and discussion.
