We are extremely excited to announce that Computing Insight UK will be moving to a new venue in 2024!
The UK's premier conference for HPC and associated science, organised by STFC's Scientific Computing department, will still be held at the Manchester Central Convention Complex but we are moving into the bigger Exchange Hall and Exchange Auditorium. This move marks the biggest change to the Conference since it's introduction 34 years ago and is a direct result of the tremendous growth we have seen over more recent years.
The floorplan below gives some visual representation of the changes we are introducing. Since our relocation to Manchester Central the exhibtion part of the Conference has occupied "The Gallery" with presentations taking place in the "Charter Suite". As you can see from the diagram we are making a significant increase in the space available to both exhibitors and delegates.
What does this mean for attendees?
For exhibitors... a fully air-conditioned, purpose built exhibition space with a dedicated loading bay that can be driven up to with direct access on to the show floor. Exhibition stands will have more space and there will be extra space between stands. There will be space for more exhibtiors to join the Conference and we will also be exploring the possibility of offering double size stands as requested recently. When combined these benefits will provide the most professional exhibition experience at a CIUK event.
For speakers... access to a purpose built, tiered auditorium with state-of-the-art AV facilities and support technicians offering the ultimate experience to take your presentations to the next level.
For delegates... a more professional exhibition experience with space to explore and interact with exhibitors combined with the comfort of tiered seating in the auditorium. Add in extra seating areas for networking with colleagues, dedicated refereshment and lunch areas and a private entrance and foyer area and we are confident that we can make your experience of CIUK 2024 the best it can be.
Alongside all of the changes above we have retained the use of Charter Room 4 for breakout sessions and will again be exploring the possibility of including a CIUK Day Zero on the programme.
