This hybrid event is being held in Alba, Italy, at the heart of a UNESCO heritage site famous worldwide for its wine and food, with both online and in-person events to best comply with the Covid-19 situation. ParCFD is an international forum with discussions, mini-symposia and contributed papers devoted to recent developments and applications of parallel computing in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics and related disciplines.

This event is jointly organised by the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), which is part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), and the Politecnico di Torino.

Confirmed Speakers: Dr Rupak Biswas, Prof. Koji Fukagata, Prof. Robert Verzicco.

Call for Mini-Symposia

The Organising Committee is inviting brief proposals for mini-symposia by 21st December.

For more information please click here.

Call for Abstracts

Researchers in the fields of high performing computing and many branches of fluid related modelling are invited to submit extended abstracts of 2-3 pages with key-figures and references that present recent and unpublished research and emerging challenges. The topics of interest can cover, but are not limited to:

•            Parallel Algorithms and Solvers

•            Extreme-Scale Computing

•            Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Applications

•            Multi-phase flows and Chemical Engineering Applications

•            Atmospheric and Ocean Modelling

•            Verification, Validation and Uncertainty Quantification (VVUQ) in CFD modelling

•            Turbulence, Combustion and Acoustics

•            Multi-disciplinary Design Optimization

•            Multi-Scale and Multi-Physics Applications

•            Astrophysical fluid dynamics

•            Software Frameworks and C/G-PU Computing

•            AI and Machine Learning for CFD

All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the members of the Local Scientific Committee prior to acceptance. The review process will consider relevance, originality of the work and clarity of the manuscript. Authors will also be invited to submit full articles to a special issue of the Computers & Fluids International Journal.
